My name is Cheryl Lynn Glaiser, I was born in Oakland Ca in 1961. I grew up in Walnut Creek Ca when it was pretty much a cow town. Boy, has it changed in 40 some years. We lived in the hills of Walnut Creek in a house on a big lot with a creek that ran through it. I loved to play in the hills and we would often slide down the dry yellow hills in the summer on card board boxes. It was a lot of fun playing in those hills which quickly ended with the construction of new homes. It was the beginning of the growth of Walnut Creek from a small town to a large city.

I attended Buena Vista Elementary School through 6th grade and Walnut Creek Intermediate through 8th. I attended Del Valle High School until it closed in 1979 and finished my last year at Acalanes High School in Lafayette. Our family attended Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church during my younger years. I worked at Longs Drugs during high school and while attending Diablo Valley Junior College. Weeks before I was to start school at CSU Sacramento I was involved in a water ski accident that required surgery and many weeks of recovery.  Immediately after college I was accepted to an on-the-job training program to become a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. I worked at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley for many years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist until my husband and I started our family.
I have many interests but my family and faith are the most important to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a stay at home mom to my two beautiful girls and two four-legged family members. I am forever grateful to my husband for working hard so I could be with our daughters.  I love to walk my dogs with family and friends, garden, golf, bike ride and read. I read only nonfiction and mostly books on Health & Wellness. I'm a lifelong learner and enjoy experimenting on myself and sharing what I learn. I have an easy going, common sense approach to life and wellness.  I recently became certified as a Health Coach through Dr William Sears health coach program. I implemented his approach to eating and lost a significant amount of weight and have managed to keep it off. It is super simple to implement, you just need the will and desire to become healthy.
Three simple books I recommend:
  1. Prime-Time Health, A Scientifically Proven Plan for Feeling Young and Living Longer by Dr William Sears, MD and Mary Sears, RN
  2. Your Bodies Many Cries for Water by Dr. F Batmanghelidj
  3. Creative Visualization, Use the Power of Your Imagination to Create What You Want in Your Life by Shakti Gawain

These three books will help you feel better physically and emotionally. They are quick simple books to read. If you implement the guide lines in these books, you will, I guarantee feel better. It worked for me but you will need a little will power.

I will use the blog portion of this site to share book reviews, health tips, thoughts and inspirations. Basically, something I think would be of use or interest to you.
